Work > Mine/ Yours/ Theirs/ Ours

This work was created during the summer of 2014, as part of the Summer River Fellows Program.

Erosion and Sediment draw on the history of Columbus, Georgia as a textile manufacturing town. Using clothes purchased at a local thrift store, Browning has cut away all but the seams of the clothing, creating a metaphor between the swirling, deconstructed fabric and Columbus’ struggle to recuperate and reinvent itself in the wake of many mill closures.
