Work > World of Winter: Language of Dreams

In 2022 I participated in the World of Winter festival in Grand Rapids as part of the exhibition "It Takes a Village" curated by Mallory Shotwell. For this exhibition I created a large site-specific installation filling the office of the DGRI. The installation was based on a series of drawings speaking to surrealism’s loving fear of the unconscious mind and its mysteries. These colorful vinyl stencils depict surreal combinations and distortions of the human body. The warped, merged, and transfigured body parts are unsettling representations marked with mystery, confusion, and humor.
